Temporary Entry Level Position

Job Summary:

Able to write a food safety manual for production procedures that meets GSFI standards. Assures the effective completion and documentation of quality assurance procedures that meet food safety standards.

Responsibilities:

Knowledgeable in food science safety and GSFI standards
Some familiarity with HAACP, GAP, GMP and GDP procedures
Procedure writing
Ability to follow instruction and work with minimal supervision
Maintaining food safety records
Observes and documents daily and non-daily scheduled task and routines

Ensures step-by-step production specifications are documented

Compiles procedures and inputs data

Qualifications:

Must be detailed oriented and possess above average organizational skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated, confident and energetic

Able to work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to write clear and concise reports
Strong computer skills

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite 2010

Education/Experience:
Knowledge of food safety and/or Bachelors degree in relevant food science.

Food safety certification a plus
