• Performs a variety of sample accession responsibilities in compliance with appropriate SOP’s and regulatory guidelines, in support of departmental operations. • Performs any combination of sample accession tasks, including opening, entering, tracking, labeling, shipping and disposition of samples.
• Reviews sample inventory against samples to ensure accuracy.
• Communicate discrepancies to appropriate personnel and assists with problem solving.
• Communicates confirmation of sample receipt to clients, if appropriate.
• Handles internal customer inquiries and requests.
• Distributes sample information and paperwork.
• Responsible for entry and accuracy of sample tracking systems.
• Introduces and develops improvement ideas for the group with the assistance of others.
• Works with the customer service coordinators to establish customer service procedures, as appropriate.
• Certified as an authorized environmental system monitor as appropriate.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Associate degree plus 1 year of work experience. Work experience may be substituted for education.
• Customer service skills including attention to detail, accuracy, confidentiality and effective communication skills.
• Ability to identify and communicate customer service needs.
• Conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to learn and use a variety of computer applications.
• Good documentation skills.

• Associate degree plus 1 year of work experience. Work experience may be substituted for education.
