Quality Control Associate - Food Science – Irvine, CA
Looking
for a Food Science Opportunity with an Organic Food Processor in the LA area?
Ideal candidate:
-Food Science education and/or experience
-Min. 1 year of experience in food industry
-Full-time, 9:00AM-6:00PM, must be flexible on shift variations and overtime.
-Responsible for sensory testing, reporting, data collections
-All coordination of production dates, shelf like testing and tracking
-Responsible for making decisions on adjustments and test results
-The position is hands on in the production floor, quality assurance and
quality control labs.
-The job responsibilities encompass food processing, inspecting raw materials
(ingredients and packaging, corresponding raw materials to spec sheets/ batch
sheets, observing processing to ensure proper steps are followed, evaluating
finished product (appearance and taste) to ensure meeting standard.
-
Experience:
-BS degree in food science preferred, but not required
-Food experience in the area of production, QA & QC highly preferred.
-Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
-Must have solid math skills
-Must be flexible, but decisive.
