Job duties:


  • Conduct food safety and facility audits and formulate action plans to ensure continuous improvement
  • Provide support for food service venues concerning safety, quality and regulation of all products and processes 
  • Act as a liaison for Hissho Sushi with State and Federal health safety officials 
  • Conducted Sushi cooking and food safety presentations and writing for company HACCP Plan. 
  • Responsible for the planning, delivery and enhancement of comprehensive training and development programs to meet Hissho Sushi’s business goals and objectives 
  • Create training foundation and maintain on-going, constantly evolving training programs for supervisors, contractors and company employees
  • Review all Training criteria and update as needed
  • Support and follow up with all new trainees for up to the first six months
  • Ensure appropriate tracking & report tools are in place to determine satisfaction and effectiveness of our employees and contractors
  • Plan and direct implementation of annual training budgets
  • Oversee, direct, and facilitate developmental seminars for team leadership skills
  • Work directly with the Operations Team to ensure consistency in training program delivery & measurements
  • Assist HR department in reducing turnover through training programs
  • Work with other departments to help coordinate efforts for new product roll outs, promotional materials, and other cross-department projects
  • Conduct regular audits in units
  • Establish food quality and food safety standards which will cause our company to be recognized as a leader in the industry
  • Participates in strategic planning meetings to develop objectives of the company
  • Conducts team meetings with key management to discuss current objectives. Prepares agendas and conducts training sessions and presentations on issues regarding quality, safety and human resources.
  • Other duties as assigned


Job Requirements


  • Minimum of 5-7 years of Training experience in the food service industry 
  • Hands on experience working to develop and implement Training programs within a growing company
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred 
  • Restaurant Operations (training) experience required, with new restaurant opening experience a plus
  • Serve Safe Certified
  • Knowledge of HAACP
  • Strong financial management and computer skills
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence
  • Excellent presentation skills, verbal and written
  • Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels 
  • Creative, flexible, and innovative team player 
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards
  • Versatile, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Proven ability to mentor and develop successful team members
