The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for maintaining product safety and quality while assuring the company meets regulatory standards.† He/she implements the companyís continuous quality improvement program including process quality control.†††
∑ Ensures product safety, regulatory compliance, and compliance with company standards as stated in the Quality Assurance Manual.
∑ Supervises and/or performs on site lab testing and evaluates outside lab results.
∑ Maintains HACCP program and ensures plant compliance
∑ Maintains Quality Program and ensures compliance including environmental, sanitation, and products quality controls.
∑ Provides training and resources for plant personnel in quality and food safety practices.
∑ Maintains on site laboratory.
∑ Reviews product labels to ensure regulatory compliance and accuracy.
∑ Maintains raw material specifications, ingredient testing program, and qualifies vendors.
∑ Takes corrective action to resolve all quality issues.
∑ Maintains all quality related documentation.
∑ Ensures adherence to contract packaging quality requirements.
∑ Excellent communication and organizational skills
∑ Excellent computer skills
∑ Familiarity with Good Manufacturing practices, Kosher, GFCO, Non-GMO, and BRC certifications preferred
∑ Familiarity with sanitation systems and procedures†
∑ Ability to communicate in both English and Spanish desirable†
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
