Overall Purpose/Job Objective:
The successful applicant will serve as the manager of the Rice Processing Program's Rice Quality Lab.

Responsibilities will include:
M
anaging the processing of rice samples collected as part of research projects conducted within the Rice Processing Program; supervising program technicians and undergraduate students, and collaborating with those graduate and post-doctoral students working in rice processing research; designing and coordinating experiments, analyzing and interpreting data, writing manuscripts, and presenting results at professional meetings; coordinating the procurement, setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance of equipment; and assisting in writing funding proposals.

Preferred Qualifications:
M.S. in Food Science or Food Engineering preferred.

Preference will be given to applicants having supervisory experience in program/laboratory management.
