would I be responsible for?

Performs routine research and development activities concerned with the
chemical, biological and/or physical nature of food in order to
evaluate and improve the quality of existing products and related
processes and to develop new products and processes.
Prepares prototype products using research lab, pilot lab,
manufacturing facilities and equipment, as required.
Develops solutions to routine technical problems by applying basic
technical knowledge and experience.
Sets-up, operates and maintains pilot lab and research lab equipment.
Selects and evaluates raw materials.
Conducts shelf life studies, including product and package performance
evaluations under various conditions.
Makes presentations of results and recommendations to various groups,
both internally and externally.
Establishes contact with ingredient suppliers and equipment vendors as
needed by project activity.
Performs routine assignments, small projects or manages segments of
larger projects, assisting in defining project objectives, organizing
and prioritizing tasks and conducting experiments and analyses.
Maintains accurate, up to date records, laboratory notebooks and
computer database that repeatable and reproducible.
Performs measurements and statistical analysis.
Performs related responsibilities, as needed, to support Rich Products
Corporation's business objectives.
Ensures the work environment is sanitary, safe, and orderly.
What
do I need to be considered a candidate?
Bachelors Degree in Food Science or related field required and 0-2
years experience.
PC / internet skills (Excel, Word, database, statistical software) and the
ability to create spreadsheets, computer analysis, report writing.
Proficient with relevant software tools (e.g. Optiva,
Accolade, etc.)
Travels regularly (up to 25% of time)
