This position provides the opportunity to research the fundamental properties of meat and non meat ingredients as well as process and technology development to support the Oscar Mayer business. Individual will be responsible for planning and implementing assigned projects, analyzing results, translating those results into possible solutions for the business unit and communicating those opportunities throughout all levels of the organization. Must have a strong technical background, keep current on scientific advances and work well in a team environment. Assignment will provide exposure to the Oscar Mayer business unit, individuals throughout the Research and Nutrition organization, and outside collaborative partners. Partnerships with multi-disciplinary research are also opportunities with this position. Job Responsibilities • Develop project objectives in response to business initiatives • Plan and execute projects with a high degree of autonomy • Conduct analysis of results and translate into actionable recommendations • Provide scientific expertise on cross functional teams • Identify collaborative opportunities within the Research and Nutrition organization for business unit • Build and maintain relationships with universities, vendors, and suppliers

• M.S. or Ph.D. in Meat Science/Food Science/Animal Science • Experience working with food proteins, meat proteins • Understanding or eagerness to learn general principles of meat science • Willing to travel 15% General/technical skill • Problem solving • Strong organizational skills • Excellent verbal/written communication skills • Team building skills • Networking skills to leverage internal and external partners
