Quality Assurance Supervisor - Marys Gone Crackers Gridley, CA

 

Reports to: HACCP Manager

 

Background Requirements

         3+ years work experience with Quality Assurance in a food plant manufacturing environment

         HACCP Certification

 

Summary

The primary role of the Quality Assurance Supervisor position is to ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and guidelines, ensure compliance with all customer expectations and internal quality and food safety standards and policies. The nature of this position requires flexibility and the ability to embrace change. The Quality Assurance Supervisor must be highly self-motivated and exemplify the ability to work effectively as a team player, with the ability to interact across departmental and cross-functional boundaries, minimizing conflict and maximizing continuous improvement and food safety attention to detail.

 

Work Experience Requirements

         Experience developing and implementing a functional HACCP program

         Working knowledge of HACCP, Food Plant Sanitation, GMPs, and Pest Control

         Audit experience with 3rd party auditors

         Experience developing and performing monthly facility audits

         Experience developing, implementing, and training SOPs

         Experience developing and implementing Prerequisite Programs

         Experience with Customer Complaint database tracking and feedback program

         Experience in developing, implementing, and training Sanitation Procedures

         Must be familiar with microbiological requirements and testing

         Experience working with Regulatory Affairs (USDA and FDA)

         Enforce required GMPs, PPE, and OSHA requirements

         Excellent oral and written communication skills

         Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook experience required

         Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, but not required

 

Job Responsibilities

         Mentor and train Production Supervisors and laborers which includes but is not limited to GMP, CCP, Food Safety, Quality Specification, and Employee Safety

         Enforce GMP, CCP, Food Safety, Quality Specification, and Employee Safety programs

         Oversee monitoring and verification activities to ensure that all products leaving the facility meet the facility Food Safety and Quality Plans

         Monitors the established programs for incoming raw ingredients in the areas of product rotation, sampling, and reporting of data to HACCP Manager to assure conformance to specifications

         Provide guidance in correcting any deviations that have occurred

         Assist in semiannual mock recalls and trace-backs

         Conduct internal facility audits; both food safety and general safety

         Monitor all GMP, CCP, and Food Safety Programs

         Perform required sanitation checks

         Perform Weekly Pest Check

         Assist Rabbi during monthly audits

 

Conditions of Employment

         The successful candidate will be required to provide documentation demonstrating the right to work in the United States upon hire

         The successful candidate must submit to post offer, pre-employment drug testing

         The successful candidate will be subject to employment history checks
