R&D New Product Development Food Scientist
Education: BS Food Science with 3-5 years experience with product/ process R&D from proof of concept to commercialization. 1-3 years experience R&D/ manufacturing experience with food- preferably fresh produce. Experience in applying food science t o conduct experiments and draw conclusions. Duties: Responsible to apply research techniques & knowledge of food with the result of improved quality, throughput, and cost model. Develop innovative new products, processes & packaging materials; effectively improve existing products/ processes from proof of concept through commercial production. Applies food science and food safety/ HACCP knowledge to all activities.
This position is largely self-directed; candidates should be organized, detail-oriented and capable of keeping accurate records and work with minimum supervision. Experience coordination consumer surveys a plus. (311.10/CA)
