Food Science Major to support development of new products and improvements to existing products. Assure that product activities meet company cost capacity, quality, marketing and product development requirements.

Knowledge of:
Food product development process Development or flavor creation for food prototypes Flavor technology/research, product development, Ingredient Technology, etc Integration and application through technical understanding of flavor raw materials (natural and artificial): design, quality, stability, etc.

B.S. or M.S. in FOOD SCIENCE or NUTRITIONAL SCIENCE 0-5 years Flavor/Food/ Beverage Industry experience in the areas of food technology, product development, flavor creation Knowledge of sensory/ organoleptic/ taste testing. Demonstrated problem-solving skills. Proven innovation and creativity. Ability to work effectively in team-based environment with multiple functional groups. Excellent communication skills. Ability to achieve results and execute multiple simultaneous projects. Experience using statistical methods and design of experiments Strong organizational and project management skills Familiarity with food products e.g. savory, sweet, baked goods, sauces, nutritional bars, soups, cereal, beverages, cheese, yogurt, dairy products, frozen entrees Familiarity with essential oils and natural and artificial raw materials
