Cargill Texturizing Solutions is a leading supplier of gelling and thickening agents as well as emulsifiers, focusing on supplying the global food and beverage industries. Cargill Texturizing Solutions offers specific solutions for improving stability, texture, consistency and shelf life in multiple food applications, based on a wide palette of ingredients including hydrocolloids, emulsifiers, lecithins, starches and soy flours.

Position Purpose:

The primary responsibility of the Customer Quality Management Specialist (CQM Specialist) is to manage day-to-day technical requests regarding quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance issues and provide additional regulatory compliance assistance for the AMCAS Starch facilities Food Safety, Quality, and Regulatory groups. Familiar with HACCP, corporate food safety, quality and regulatory compliance standards applicable across the 5 CTS product lines: starch, soy, lecithin, hydrocolloids and functional systems. The CQM Specialist position includes management of regulatory compliance documentation, customer 3rd party databases, answering technical customer inquiries, reviewing and managing documentation of customer specifications, and CQM process improvements. Additionally, the CQM Specialist is expected to understand our plant processes and provide technical/regulatory compliance advise for our FSQR teams. Documentation management, organization, prioritization, multi-tasking and effective communication are required competencies.

Principal Accountabilities:

         45% Process and manage Non-standard technical document requests regarding quality, food safety and regulatory compliance via tool. Assist in managing shared email account. Provide additional regulatory compliance support for the starch product line/Hammond and Cedar Rapids facilities FSQR teams.

         15% Process improvements, customer responses, documentation management, third-party and internal database management.

         15% Subject matter expert in different regulatory compliance areas (i.e. organic, natural, allergens/gluten) Ė expand knowledge of the regulatory compliance issues and share learnings/critical knowledge with the CTS FSQR organization for consistency in approach/responses across the BU.

         10% Act as backup for the CQM Manager and CQM Specialist for daily technical requests and processing

         10% FSQR CQM projects as assigned

         5% Assist with regulatory compliance issues, country registrations, AMCAS (including LATAM) CQM support

Location: The preferred location for this position is Cedar Rapids, IA. Hammond, IN is a location that will also be considered.


Required Qualifications

         Bachelorís Degree

         2+ years of experience in quality and/or food safety

         Effective communicator with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization

         Strong personal drive for results and ability to work independently combined with the desire to motivate and contribute to the teamís success

         Demonstrated ability to quickly build and sustain effective working relationships

         Strong continuous improvement

Preferred Qualifications

         Bilingual/proficiency in Spanish

         Regulatory compliance experience

         Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety systems and certifications

         Cargill Texturizing Solutions product line experience/knowledge

         1+ year of laboratory experience

         2+ years experience working in a food, feed, pharma and/or agriculture commodity manufacturing environment
