1. Supplier Development
--Assist the Manager or Senior Scientist with the approval of
new and/or alternate suppliers of AII food products with respect to
food safety, quality attributes and product consistency. Assist
Product Managers and Senior Scientists in ensuring new suppliers meet
all AII quality assurance and food safety requirements including,
microbiological testing, GMP's, specification compliance, HACCP,
nutrition, bioterrorism and animal welfare. Assists as directed
with sensory testing, sensory mapping, process modification,
specification alignment and/or development efforts as required to
develop supply source.
2. Supplier/Product Maintenance
--Assist with directed quality assurance efforts against several food
supply categories to include supplier communication, product
auditing, continuous improvement initiatives, product optimization
and/or alignment, new product development and product complaint
resolution. Assists with sensory testing and mapping,
process modification, auditing plans, specification alignment and/or
development efforts as required and under direction of Senior
Scientist or Manager to develop and sustain the supply source.
3. Project Support
--Provide support on projects as required under direction of Senior
Scientist or Manager to ensure food safety or improve food
quality. Projects may be focused on any
Quality Assurance or Technical Services initiatives.
4. Specification & Documentation Preparation and Maintenance
--Prepare specifications, audit reports, formulations,
communications, etc. Maintain data base of supplier information,
audit information, specifications and formulations as required.
Ideal candidate will have:
Education, Training & Certification
- Bachelors degree in a scientific discipline including food science,
microbiology, chemistry, or meat science.
- Strong computer skills
- Working knowledge of HACCP, auditing principles, process control
Experience in Similar Role or Function
- Entry Level position
- Previous experience in a chain QSR or Casual Dining concept
