R&D Food Scientist – Sacramento, CA

Job Description

We are currently seeking a candidate with UHT beverage experience for our R&D – Food Scientist opening in our new state of the art Almond Innovation Center. In this role the successful candidate will manage and develop new UHT low acid beverages from initial concept through full commercialization for both domestic and international markets. The Food Scientist must be able to understand customer requirements, consumer insights, food science, and UHT beverage production processes.

This hands on position provides an opportunity to lead and participate in cross functional teams challenged with developing and commercializing UHT beverage products. As a valuable technical resource the Food Scientist is also involved in maintaining and improving existing beverage products. The Food Scientist is a champion of the health benefits of almonds.

We are seeking a candidate with:

o    The ability to understand consumer and customer insights translating them into new products.

o    Hands on technical experience in developing and commercializing UHT low acid beverages.

o    Experience partnering with cross functional business teams to develop food/beverage products.

o    A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related field.

o    2+ years applicable UHT beverage product development experience.

o    Successful track record of new products.
