Brief Posting Description








In this role you will lead the efforts of the Quality Assurance Department to achieve converting goals. You will be Process Owner of: training and coaching partners, staying in compliance with customer requirements, overseeing quality, food safety and service, and adhering to company and government requirements and guidelines. You will be Process Performer of: evaluating partner performance, auditing processes to ensure food safety, driving Process Excellence, and holding partners accountable for safety.

Duties of the role include:

  • Developing Schreiber Culture: training, coaching, evaluating, and reinforcing Process Excellence principles with partners.
  • Converting Goals: assisting team efforts in meeting or exceeding goals in quality, productivity, raw material usage, safety, customer complaints and service.
  • Customer Requirements: working with Team Leaders and Team Advisors in identifying and communicating regulatory and customer requirements. Developing PCPs to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Government Regulations: being knowledgeable of various government regulations that must be complied with, i.e., OSHA, USDA, FDA, EPA, EEOC, etc. Working with our corporate Quality Assurance Team to meet our company quality goals.
  • Process Improvements: through the use of problem solving methods, CATs, and other quality tools, identifying and making process improvements.
  • Daily Operation: working with the team to make sure that daily production is organized to maximize efficiencies, making necessary adjustments as conditions change.
  • Capital Investment: working with the Team Leader and team in identifying potential capital improvements assisting with analysis and justification.
  • Administration: administering various company, plant or department processes in certification programs, pay systems, assessment/feedback processes, etc.
  • Tracking and maintaining control of department budgets to ensure plant goals are met.
  • Together with other members of the leadership team, ensures compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans in addition to customer requirements. Interprets and communicates customer requirements to plant production and/or support department teams. Establishes and Audits PCPs, CCPs and Standard Operating Procedures to define and monitor processes to ensure customer requirements are met. Reviews incidents during which the procedures are not met, and determines appropriate corrective action for partners failing to follow standard procedures.

Job Requirements

Quality Assurance Team Advisors

  • Require a Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Dairy Science, or a related field. 
  • Internship experience in the food industry is preferred.
  • Candidates must be willing to relocate, work night shifts, and work weekends as needed. 
  • Candidates must have demonstrated leadership histories.

Quality Assurance Team Leaders

  • Require a Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Dairy Science, or a related field. 
  • Approximately 12 years of experience in the food industry is preferred. 
  • SQF experience is strongly desired.
  • Candidates must be willing to relocate.
  • Candidates must have demonstrated leadership histories.
