Responsibilities:
- Primary contact for key R&D
initiatives as outlined by R&D Manager.
- Special project management as
outlined by R&D Manager, to be determined based on skills.
- Food science as it relates to
packaging, such as artwork adherence to government compliance,
nutritional fact panel design and test verification, development in
conjunction with packing engineer, and shelf-life determination.
- Involvement in the Competitive
Analysis Program, including managing sample preparation, managing
slides, and design special topics (i.e. Competitor’s Nutritional Data)
for quarterly Competitive Analysis Meeting.
- Design and develop consumer testing
strategies by working closely with Marketing and Sales
- Participate and lead weekly and
monthly discussions with Senior Leaders

- Lab methods and trial
development, working closely with other Food Scientists
- Plant trials as related to R&D
- Hybrid evaluation of harvested
popcorn
- Source alternative suppliers
for ingredients
- Analytical support, working
closely with the Quality Department
