Position Details

Job Summary:

Serve as Senior International Food Safety Specialist with expertise in epidemiology and risk assessment as it relates to food safety and food-borne outbreaks. International experiences will be covered, including data from Denmark and other European Union member countries. These are integral parts of the curriculum development for the training modules in all aspects of food safety from farm to fork. Validate and evaluate food safety curriculum modules for their nature, coverage, completeness, accuracy, level of detail, animal and public health relevance, actuality and international importance.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

- Experience in academic or administrative activities directed at animal and public health surveillance and control, with post-graduate training in data handling, analysis and modeling.
- Post-graduate education (PhD-level) in Epidemiology or a related scientific discipline.
-Familiarity and association with international network of experts within the professional and scientific areas.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in statistical and epidemiological analysis of surveillance data and control activities related to food safety at the international level.
- Past or present member of international organizations evaluating national and regional field and laboratory data on food-and-animal related disease occurrence.
