The role of
3rd party laboratory in food safety and quality Dr. Ceylan received his M.S. and Ph.D. in Food Microbiology from Kansas State University. Prior to joining Silliker Inc. he served as Director of Research of Food Safety Systems LLC -a food safety consulting company. Currently, he works as Director of Research for Silliker Inc. and is responsible for managing the research program. He specializes in shelf life, challenge and validation studies, isolation, detection, identification, and control and inhibition of foodborne pathogens and spoilage organisms in raw ingredients, finished products, as well as the food-processing environment. Dr. Ceylan consults with the food industry on HACCP, sanitation, process validation and application of thermal and non-thermal intervention technologies. Dr. Ceylan possesses an extensive background in food processing, food safety, and microbiological detection methods. He is a member of several professional societies and has published articles in peer-reviewed journals and magazines. |
