QC/SQF2000 Manager - Vanns Spices, Ltd - Baltimore, MD

 

Our small and growing company is becoming SQF2000 certified over the next year. We need a full time employee to help manage the process during this time period and beyond. Primary responsibilities to include:

 

  • Oversee the SQF2000 and QC programs as a whole, to ensure adherence to the program standards
  • Implementing new procedures for documentation
  • Implementing new procedures for training employees
  • Liaising with the Production Manager to create and implement quality improvements
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure proper documentation of incoming raw materials
  • Liaise with customers to provide certifications, audits and other documentation as needed
  • Manage a QA technician to aid in compliance of overall quality goals
  • Other duties as needed

 

Ideal candidates will possess the following attributes:

 

  • SQF2000 certified practitioner, or willingness to become certified
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal ability
  • High tolerance for and outstanding ability to implement change
  • Self-starting, highly motivated, dedication to improvement
  • Good written skills
